Act Four Story
Hippo is on the beach at Blackpool after the masked ball. He is alone apart from some rubbish blowing around him. Hippo sees a shell; he puts it to his ear. He hears bad news from his home (Japan). The whales are going to make a tidal wave to engulf the land. Hippo gets on a ship to travel home, but the ship has an unreliable crew and a terrible storm.
They land in Jamaica - NOT JAPAN. Here Hippo learns the secret language of cows (they have two words - 'grass' and 'hello'. Hippo is seduced by a Jamaican cow. They fall in love. There is a hen party and the men prepare for The Wedding. Hippo receives a shell as a wedding gift; he puts the shell to his ear and remembers, this is NOT JAPAN.
